Telegrams, Telegraph & Telephone Stamps - The Professor Shaul Ladany Collection, Part IISpanish Colonies CubaTelegraph Stamps1872, 50c. mauve, diagonal half used as 25c. on 9 September 1872 entire letter to Havana, tied by "Holguin/Isla de Cuba" c.d.s., repeated at right. Although the usage of bisect regular stamps is not scarce in Cuba, the application of bisect telegraph stamps is absolutely infrequent with, to our knowledge, only two covers recorded in the classic period (both belonging to the same correspondence and bearing an identical franking and cancellation, which are also affected by the same imperfection -horizontal filing fold through adhesive-). Very desirable. Edifil 21. Photo
