Ferrovia Elettrica Lugano-Cadro-Dino (Sonvico). 4.5% Obbligazione Fr.500.-, Lugano, 1. Luglio 1911. With coupons 1931-1937. Center of the folding paper broken. Nr. 151. The Ferrovia Lugano–Cadro–Dino was established in 1908.The line opened in 1911. It was 7.8 km long and electrified at 1000 V DC using overhead lines. It started at the terminus in Piazza Manzoni on Lake Lugano waterfront. The first two kilometers the railway followed the road and then had its own track to Dino. In total it had 16 stops. With increasing road traffic, the coexistence between cars and train started to get difficult. In the year 1970 the Lugano-Cadro-Dino was merged with the bus service of the "Società per la Ferrovia Elettrica Lugano-Tesserete" and renamed "Autolinee Regionali Luganesi". The railway ceased its activity and was replaced by a bus service. Extremly rare piece. VF.
