1950, April 20. Cover from Newcastle to the Post & Telecommunications Dept. Headquarters at Benghazi, bearing 2 1/2d., taxed on arrival with two framed due markings denoting 15m. to be paid, with application of 4m. postage due in combination with regular 1m., with a further 10m. adhesive missing, resulting in a mixed franking which required as a consequence of the non existance of the postage due 15m. denomination, each tied by concentric rings cancel. Portion of paper loss at bottom left, of no significance for this very important rarity representing the only cover so far recorded bearing a postage due in combination with a regular stamp to pay the charge on delivery -the use of postage dues only is of extreme scarcity-.
