Cover to London carried at the then current Forces airmail rate with 2 1/2d., tied in transit at Cairo with ´´Base Army Post Office/4´´ cds, showing very fine ´´Headquarters British Military/Mission to Ethiopia´´ cachet at bottom left. Under the military convention attached to the Anglo-Ethiopian agreement of 31.1.1942, the British Government agreed to provide at its own cost a military mission to raise, organize and train an army.
