Karuizawa Five Decades 1960-2000
Single Malt Whisky
Distilled and matured at the Karuizawa Distillery, Japan.
This gorgeously engraved bottle contains vintages from Karuizawa distilled in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, and 2000, the year the distillery shut down. The whisky then rested in an ex-Karuizawa cask before being bottled in 2015. Presented in a beautiful wooden box with keys. A limited release of 200 bottles.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fruit pie, raisins and forest fruits are tied together by leather and a wisp of smoke.

Palate: Spice leads the palate, with ginger, cinnamon, and winter spice. The fruits are still present, with the addition of citrus.

Finish: The citrus, dried fruits, and leather bring about a long, intense finish.
