The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, $5, cancelled, cut corners, 1.9.1893, serial number 436155, yellow and green, Bank arms upper centre, '$5' upper left and right, 'FIVE DOLLARS' in yellow in central panel, handsigned at lower left, printed signature of Jackson at lower right, 'CANCELLED' overstamped diagonally twice on the obverse, reverse red, Bank arms at centre, handwritten in crayon 'CANCELLED 31 Aug 1904',
(Pick 138), PMG 20 Very Fine (Cancelled, Annotations). An extremely rare note. Very well preserved. In recent years Spink China has sold two 1893 $5's: the first note in PMG 45NET for HKD504,000 in August 2020 and the second in PMG 35NET for HKD276,000. Both of these prices include the Buyer's Premium


1893年香港上海匯豐銀行5元注銷票，紙角經裁剪，編號436155，左下手簽，右下機印署名，加蓋注銷，另有手寫標注’CANCELLED 31 Aug 1904’，PMG 20，經注銷及有書寫，保存完好，大多集藏所缺之版別，近年斯賓克中國曾有2枚1893年5元之成交紀錄，於2020年8月拍賣會一枚PMG 45NET品相的於以港幣504,000元售出，及一枚PMG 45NET品相以港幣276,000元售出，藏家不容錯過
