Peking: 1916 (16 May) colourful envelope from the Dutch legation in Peking registered to the Netherlands "Via Siberia, bearing 1915 Coronation set of four plus Tazawa 1½s. blue tied by "peking/i.p.o." c.d.s. in purple with the registration label in the lower left corner. The reverse of this envelope is dominated by an advertising label for the Colonial Exhibition, Serarang in scarlet along with "i.p.o. mukden-changcha/south manchuria" oval datestamp in purple, a boxed Russian censor handstamp and Zwolle arrival c.d.s. (26.6); there is also a Russian censor seal and handstamp at side. An attractive and appealing cover. Photo
