Kiungchow: 1899 (3 Aug.) envelope registered to Ningpo "Pr. 'Nippon Maru'" bearing, on the address side, a very fine strike of Kiungchow bilingual c.d.s. (a very early date for this) with a fine strike of the large, handstruck "R"; the reverse with Hong Kong 5c. blue (2) and 10c. purple on red tied by Hong Kong c.d.s. (5.8), Shanghai (13.8) and Ningpo (13.8) bilingual c.d.s. plus "R" in circle; there is a light horizontal crease. A delightful and appealing card. Photo
