Banco de Portugal, set of 5x progressive proofs, 1x remainder and 1x specimen for 20 escudos, ND (1941-1959), 3 uniface obverses:
1. 'BANCO DE PORTUGAL' at top, portrait at right
2. multicolour underprint without text or portriat
3. green print without the underprint and portriat, 'VINTE ESCUDOS' at upper centre, allegorical bust at upper left,

2 uniface reverses:
1. multicolour underprint with watermark at right
2. green print without the underprint, seated maiden against rising sun at centre, 'VINTE' at top and 'ESCUDOS' at bottom, '20' at four sides and at left,

final design printed on both sides:
a combination of all the above

all punch hole cancelled,
(Pick 153r), the remainder and specimen PMG 50 and 55 (Printer's Annotations and Ink Bleed) respectively, the rest are encapsulated in a PMG holder with the remark "Printing Remnants". A comprehensive set for the different stages of printing for this design. (7)
