The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $5, 1.1.1909, serial number FS50253, blue, green and red on orange-brown underprint, arms at upper centre, red 'FIVE' underprint in lower centre, handsigned signatures at bottom, reverse green,
(Pick 34), PMG 20NET (Restoration). A lovely note retaining most of its original paper crispness and colour. Also an unrecorded date of issue in both the Pick and KN Boon catalogues. One of 5 notes of this type graded in the PMG Population Report and this is the highest numerical grade (the PMG population report does not show notes with a NET status). Extremely rare and with still with good eye appeal.
