The People’s Bank of China, 5th series renminbi, 1999, group of 9 uniface progressive proofs for 100 yuan:
1. Uniface obverse: red printing on white paper, '100' at lower left, bank title ‘ZHONGGUO RENMIN YINHANG’ in Chinese and portrait of Mao at right.

2. Similar to the above with extra bracket and dot printed at lower right.

3. Similar to 1. with the ‘YIBAI YUAN’ (100 yuan) in Chinese within rosette.

4. Similar to 3. but without the National Emblem and with ‘100’ near lower left.

5. Similar to 3. but without bank title in Chinese, '100' above rosette, emblem of the PRC without solid red colour fill.

6. Similar to 5. but with most of the main features present and virtually a combination of the above.

7. Resembles the complete design, portrait of Mao at right, bank title ‘ZHONGGUO RENMIN YINHANG’ in Chinese at top, emblem of the PRC at upper left, without the denominations in numbers and in Chinese, the reverse partially printed in pink-red and multicolour.

8. Similar to 7. but with the denominations added, '100' at centre, upper right and lower right corners, and 'YIBAI YUAN' in rosette at centre, the reverse is the same as the previous note.

9. Uniface printing of the reverse in olive green and on WATERMARKED paper, Great Hall of the People at centre, bank title in different scripts upper right.
(Pick 901pp), the first four graded PMG 66EPQ, the fifth 64EPQ, the sixth 67EPQ, the seventh 55EPQ, the eighth and ninth 64EPQ. A magnificent set with each note being a different stage of printing and an opportunity to acquire a fairly comprehensive group of prototypes for this famous design. Fabulously rare and imporatant.


1999年中國人民銀行第五版人民幣100元一組9枚單面試印樣鈔： 1：單面正面：白紙上用紅色印刷，銀行名稱為“中國人民銀行”，右側為毛澤東像 2：與1相似，右下印有額外的括號和點 3：與1相似，圖案內有壹佰圓的中文字樣 4：與3相似，無國徽及近左下有'100'字樣 5：與3相似，無銀行中文名稱，圖案上方有'100'字樣，未填紅色之中華人民共和國國徽 6：與5相似，包括了大部分設計細節，合併以上1-5項的設計內容 7：與最終設計相似，右方為毛澤東肖像，頂部為中文銀行名稱「中國人民銀行」，左上方為中華人民共和國國徽，無數字和中文面值，背面以粉紅色和多色印刷 8：與7相似，加入面值'100' 於中央，右上及右下角，圖案中央有「壹佰圓」字樣，背面與第7項一樣 9：單面背面，用橄欖綠色墨水印於水印紙上，人民大會堂位於中央，不同字體的銀行名稱於右上方 首4枚評PMG 66EPQ，第5枚64EPQ，第6枚67EPQ，第7枚55EPQ，第8及第9枚64EPQ，每一枚均展示鈔票設計過程，難得可遇的一組，意義非凡
