1780 "Sketch of the Typa and Macao" Mounted. Cartographer: HOGG, Alexander. Coloured copper engraving. Image size: 9" x 13.5", water stain on right-hand side.
Detailed chart of Macao and nighbouring islands from Cook's voyages. Outside the top border there lies fallen armour and a London "sic" flag. Bottom outside is a man's head adorned with a leaf garland. Includes town plan, soundings, some topography with notes and observations.
