1901 (6 Feb.) the legendary 32mm Singapore to Hong Kong Marine Storter temporary c.d.s. webb type 4a, Kirk type 5, Proud D17 struck on the reverse of India 1/2a. stationery envelope with addition of half anna green adhesive cancelled Calcutta c.d.s., underpaid marked with a circular T postage due mark of Indian origin, manuscript "12" in blue crayon and red "15 cents" in red ink. Colombo transit (14.2) and Shanghai arrival c.d.s. on front (6.3). Webb type 4a was used on P&O Plassy during its trip from Singapore to Hong Kong on 24 February 1901 only. Webb RRR and one of five covers recorder and only known to Shanghai.
