1836 ca. folded letter, incoming mail to Joseph Archer of Wetmore, Canton / China endorsed "Pr. Emma Eugenia". Water damage by ship accident and subsequently repaired. Contents are Silk Trade. Superb rectangular "Wetmore", USA" delivery cachet applied at Canton. Emma Eugenia sailings to Canton are recorded around 1835 / 38. Probably only this one known damaged by accident ex. F. Stubens
