The Mercantile Bank of India, $5, 1.1.1930, serial number 112537, green, black and yellow, sampans and pagoda at upper centre, handsigned signature at lower left, reverse purple and black, Mercury at centre,
(Pick 235b), PMG 35 Choice Very Fine (Split Repair). Although repaired, this is minor and overall the note retains strong colours and the signature is sharp and clear. A superb example of this early handsigned note
