Sinsiang Postage Paid Label: 1949 (9 Aug.) opened-out envelope to Tientsin bearing, on the reverse, a good example of this mineographed $2 label in black with purple oval handstamp; with a wide margin at left and showing a fragment of the design below, with 1949 Industry and Infantry $6 vertical strip of three tied by Honan c.d.s.; there is a further despatch c.d.s. on the address side, though the town is not clear (probably Sinsiang). The adhesives with some wrinkling or creasing.


A highly important and desirable cover. Only one other example has been recorded. A gem for the connoisseur. Yang LNC8; JPS HB97
