Nepal for Tibet, Ranjit Malla, cut Half-Mohar, 2.77g, NS 842 (1722), straight cut (7½-Skar) (RGV 564), very fine

Huge quantities of Ranjit Malla Mohars were imported from Bhadgaon, where they became known as nag tam (black Tangka) as they turned black with use. It is rare to find them cut into smaller denominations as they did not have eight regularly-placed fleurettes to aid division.
