1949 (2 May) to USA air mail cover, bearing , on the reverse, Dr.Sun Gold Yuan $2,000 (20) and $500 (2) tied by Siangtan c.d.s.; From 27 April 1949, Hunan was first to enable Silver Yuan postage. but rare still use Gold Yuan postage in Silver Yuan period.



1949年湖南湘潭寄美國航空封1件，貼上海大東一版孫像金元500元直雙連，大東二版金元20枚（含15右上流水號直角邊四方連1件），銷湖南常德5月2日戳，保存完好，1949年4月27日湖南在中國率先啟用銀元郵資，金元郵票延用於銀元時期情況在湖南非常少見，寄信人為常德廣德醫院（今常德第一醫院）第三任院長巴天明先生，收信人是其女兒巴玉華，為美國東洛杉磯學院歷史學教授，著名湖南抗戰歷史專家，曾著有多部相關湖南抗戰史書籍
