1948 (15 Nov.) air mail cover from Siangtan to USA, bearing franking Dr.Sun $4,020,000 and Gold Yuan 1/2 c. tied by Siangtan c.d.s., this cover is mixed with National currency and Gold Yuan franking, also the frist day use for Gold Yuan franking to oversea.


1948年湖南湘潭寄美國航空封1件，貼上海大東二版孫像2萬元1枚，三版孫像50萬元4枚，100萬元2枚，孫像加蓋長框改作2萬元1枚，孫像加蓋金元半分1枚，折合金元總計1.35元，符合當時國際航空郵資，銷湖南湘潭11月15日戳，保存完好，此封不僅為國幣金元混貼，且是國際金元郵資使用首日封，寄信人為常德廣德醫院（今常德第一醫院）第三任院長巴天明先生，收信人是其女兒巴玉華，為美國東洛杉磯學院歷史學教授，著名湖南抗戰歷史專家，曾著有多部相關湖南抗戰史書籍
