China, plain silver planchet, weight 37.7gram, 5mm thickness, 32mm diameter, 'TAEL' inscribed on one side, probably used as measure standard for the mint, especially in French Indo China. The owner acquired it in the 1960's, together with a handwritten information note and a black and white film showing a large scale 'TAEL' planchet, interesting numismatic material,
toned, about uncirculated, very rare.
