1917 (29 Jan.) a combination cover from Shanghai to Tokyo, Japan franked with K.G.V 1c. (4) and ovpt. "china" 10c., tied by Shanghai c.d.s.. The one K.G.V 1c. on reverse is missing the postmark and has been cancelled by violet crayon. Very early usage of the overprinted stamps which were put on sale from 1st Jan 1917. There is some minor damage on reverse. Photo.
