1945 (24 February) registered military cover from Vientiane sent by a military doctor to Phantiet. The cover got caught in the turmoil of the Japanese coup d'etat of 9th March. Thereafter the Japanese censored the mail by applying a 'CONTROLE' handstamp on the registration label and a Japanese censor chop in red. Scarce Japanese censor of internal mail.
