1874 7 (Nov.) Hankow to Oxford England cover, bearing Hong Kong QV 30c. tied by B62 Obliterator. On the reverse with British Post Office in Hankow (7.11) type "A "cds in blue, transit cds by Hong Kong on 16 Nov., and Oxford arrival (24.12) cds beside.
Hankow consular Agency was opened in 1872 equipped with Hankow Webb type B c.d.s. for backstamping. One of the two recorded earliest use of this c.d.s., the other example was in the A. Cheung collection sold in November 2025 (realized $34,000).
