1942-1945 Military cover sent from Japan to the Hong Kong Special Base Area bears an inspection stamp. Since the recipient had been transferred back to Yokosuka, Japan, the Hong Kong Special Base Area affixed a return slip to the letter and sent it back to Japan. The slip is stamped with "Seal of the Former Corporal of the Hong Kong Special Base Area." This is a rare example of a military return back envelope from the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. With the original letter.
