1940 registered cover addressed to Java bearing SYS $1 tied by Shanghai date stamp (22 Aug 1940) with matching registered label, routed via Singapore with 'Passed by Censor/31/Singapore' hand-stamp with 'Censor Batavia/Door Censuur Geopend' censor tape tied by 'Gecensureerd/19' and circular 'Dev/10' on face with Buitenszord arrival (19 Sep 1940) on reverse. Very nice censored mail from China into Dutch Indies.
