1901 (23 Jan.) envelope registered to Germany bearing C.I.P. 2c., 4c. (2), 10c. and 30c. tied by Kiukiang bilingual c.d.s. and large "R" in black, with French "Chine" 25c. and 50c. (2) tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. (28.1) with a further strike alongside and French "R" in champhered box, the reverse bearing Shanghai bilingual c.d.s. and three Munich arrival c.d.s. The envelope has been opened top and foot and probable was a wrapper for papers making four times rate. Photo
