Receipt, Old Documents and Ephemeral Items
1943 Land tax receipt for Hong Kong Island during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. The first installment of tax in 1942 was 5.50 yen in military currency. The tax chief at the time was Miichi Hosono.
The back of the receipt also contains the postage paid by the Japanese occupation Hong Kong Post Office (postage prepaid) and is sent to Wing Lok Street, Hong Kong Island.


1942年 (昭和十七年) 日佔香港時期港島區土地稅領收證書, 1942年度第一期税額為軍票五圓五拾錢, 當時的稅務所長是細野巳市, 背面同時是寄港島永樂街的香港局料金別納郵便 (郵資已付郵件).
