1920 First edition of "The Pageant of Peking" Photo Album, Photography by Donald Mennie, Preface by Putnam Weale; Hardcover (30x39x3.5cm); The photographer of this book, Donald Mennie (1899-1941), came to Peking, China in 1899 and first joined Mactavish Lehman in Peking, and later moved to Shanghai to serve as the general manager of A.S. Watson & co. While living in Peking, he paid attention to the local customs and scenery of old Peking, so he took up a camera to capture countless images of old Peking. "The Pageant of Peking" includes 66 of Manny's works.
They are all printed on print paper first, and then each one is pasted into the book.
Pay attention to the quality of the book. The cloth cover of the spine of this book has been worn away and lost, and the cover has faded and yellowed due to age. There are also yellow spots on the pages inside the book. But there are no missing pages or loose pages.
