China, Tibet, [PCGS XF Details] silver kong par tangka, 13-46 (1860), third issue, date within central square with arch above, moon and sun above, ornaments around the square, reverse lotus flower in centre within single circle to which eight petals are attached, each containing one of the eight Buddhist auspicious emblems, circle of pearls within border around, (YZM 32-38, KM C-60.3), weighs 5.64g, Environmental Damage, cert. #45306742, Wolfgang Bertsch Collection, small weak area, otherwise darkly toned, exceptional for type. Coins of the Third Issue have larger figures on the obverse and larger auspicious symbols on the reverse. Although invariably dated 13-46, it is believed that they were struck circa 1850 to a slightly reduced weight standard.
