1931-1932 a group of photos of Shanghai, taken by the crew of a US warship that was moored in Shanghai for a rest period at the time, a total of 40 photos. There are two large group photos (about 24x28cm), one of which is a group photo of all officers and soldiers on the USS Houston. In addition, there are records of what I saw and heard in Shanghai, such as the Shanghai flood, various people and scenery on the streets. It also collects tickets of the time, business cards of famous stores and the movie handbill of the Cathay Theater, etc. It is a precious historical record for studying the people's livelihood in Shanghai at that time and the activities of the American army in China. In addition to large photos, the rest of the photos vary in size, the largest is 15x165cm, and the smallest is 6x6.5cm


1932-1933年上海的一組照片, 由當時停泊在上海休整期中的美國軍艦人員所拍攝, 共四十枚照片, 當中有两枚大型合照 (約24x28cm), 其一是全體官兵在休斯頓號艦上的合照. 此外有在上海所見所聞的景象記錄, 例如上海大水, 街頭各式人物及景物. 更蒐集了當時的車票, 著名商店名片及國泰戲院的本事等, 是研究當時上海民生及在華美軍活動的珍貴歷史紀錄. 除大型照片外, 其餘照片大小不一, 最大15x165cm, 最小6x6.5cm
