1903 (29 April) cover from Dali to France, bearing coiling dragons 1/2ct pair and 1ct tied by vernacular Dali datestamp in purple (with date inserted by hand) routed via Yunnan-sen and Mongtze with circular vernacular transits on reverse with Chinese Post Office Mengtsz '29th April' and Indo-Chinese Post Office '30th April' bearing Indo-China Post Office 25c black on rose tied by Mongtsze/Chine double ring (30th April) routed via Lao Kay Tonkin (6 May) and Hanoi (14 May) with Gard arrival on reverse (16 June). Extremely rare mail from Yunnan paying the local 2cts postage to the border on onward postage to France. Holcombe signature.
