1847 ( May 22, the 27th year of Daoguang's reign), the Governor-General of Guangdong and Guangxi Qiying issued an official seal to the French Navy Commander-in-Chief, Lapelle. It contained a long sheet "note" and five lager official seals.
The envelope is folded and slightly rupture, but the "note" is well preserved. Excellent historical material on foreign relations during the Daoguang reign (especially during the Sino-French War). Very rare. Envelope size: 21.7x38.4cm; Note size: 121x25cm
1847年 (道光二十七年五月二十二日)两廣總督耆英發給法國水師總兵拉別耳的官封, 內有 "照會" 一份, 官封及照和上共鈐 "欽差大臣 關防" 官印共五枚, 照會內內云: 「貴總鎮來文內稱內地尚有數省如四川山東江西湖北盛京等處仍然禁阻實在宗奉天主教有致折磨.…..两國萬年和好如果高麗等國有赴中國請示之事自必喜為啓迪諭令以禮接待以昭友誼也為此照覆貴總鎮….」; 封有折叠及少許破裂, 照會保存良好. 道光年間對外 (尤以中法戰爭時期) 關係的極佳歷史素材. 不可多得. 封尺寸: 21.7x38.4cm; 照會尺寸: 121x25cm
