1875 (15 Oct.) opened-out envelope to Paris bearing Ceres Head 10c. pair and 80c. tied y gross chiffres "5104" and "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. with small boxed "pd" in red, the reverse bearing a good strike of the double-oval "customs house/shanghai/paid" dated oval in red partly overstruck by Paris arrival c.d.s. (28.11). The envelope has suffered some ageing and has been rejoined, some edge wear just affects the adhesives. A scarce marking with less than twenty covers recorded
