Rhodesia 1966 (17 Jan.) Independence 2/6d. with vermilion partially omitted, fine used. Very rare. Pierron RH738MCa, £1,250; SACC 126a; unlisted in S.G. Photo Estimate £ 550-650 Note: Although listed elsewhere as completely missing vermilion, traces of colour remain on the fish´s tail. All known examples originate from first day covers; they were apparently soaked off in the late 1960s due to demand for good, clean used examples of normal stamps. It was only some time after their removal from covers that the errors were spotted.
