New Zealand 1962 (3 Oct.) Health 3d.+1d. with orange omitted, margin at right, fine. A startling error. With normal for comparison. Pierron NZ1626MCa, £2,250; C.P. T34b(Z); S.G. 813a, £1,800. Photo Estimate £ 1,200-1,500 Note: The missing orange causes the loss of colour from the background and the bird´s wing feathers. It also results in the fruit appearing in the yellow underlay colour. The two rightmost columns of a sheet were affected resulting in 12 copies with orange missing – however, the bottom marginal strip comprising two examples was stolen along with various other stamps from dealers Bridger & Kay on 12 February 1964. It is believed the stolen copies were destroyed
