Photo Estimate £ 400-500 Note: The missing gold results in the loss of the star. A complete sheet of 60 was discovered by a member of the Gibraltar Philatelic Society at the time of issue. Many examples were sold to friends and members of the Society. The finder kept the remaining 38 examples in a self-adhesive photo album with disastrous results. Within two years the majority had to be destroyed due to a fungal growth which could not be removed. Of the finder´s 38 examples just seven survived. In all 29 examples remain from the original sheet. It is unknown if the used example off-piece, first recorded in early 2008, with a part circular cancel is from the original find. It does, however, share the same slight down and left design centring as the mint examples. quantity: 29 mint, 1 used
