Gambia 1966 (24 June) Anniversary of Bathurst 1/6d. with silver omitted, fine used. With mint normal for comparison. B.P.A. Certificate (2009). Pierron GA498MCa, £500; unlisted in S.G. Photo Estimate £ 300-400 Note: The error, only recorded used off-piece with part circular Bathurst cancel, results in the loss of the central die-stamped city arms. An albino impression of the arms remains. Known examples have near identical design centring suggesting a single sheet emanating from a Bathurst post office was affected to some degree. It is probable the affected sheet was used as postage and the majority lost given the paucity of recorded examples.
