Photo Estimate £ 3,000-4,000 Note: An electrical engineer purchased a single example for postage on 16 December 1968 and was about to use it when he spotted the error. He returned to the Church Street, Hamilton Post Office and purchased the remaining 25 examples. Within a week, according to the Hamilton Royal Gazette of 21 December 1968, he had sold examples locally for prices up to £1,000. The finder posted a pair to himself. The remainder of the sheet had been previously sold across the counter so it is possible other used examples exist.
