Australia 1992 (2 Jan.) Threatened Species roll stamps 45c., a horizontal se-tenant strip of six on the original backing paper with black omitted, fine. Pierron AU2642MCa, £1,500; BW 1552ca-1557ca; unlisted in S.G.. Photo Estimate £ 600-800 Note: A number of defective coils, including one missing black, were used to test a dispenser. The machine´s marker was set in such a way so that it created a red line across the designs in an attempt to obliterate the stamps. After the test, some of the coils were boxed and distributed by accident. The coil with black missing was subsequently purchased at Buxton, New South Wales. Most of the stamps have been divided into strips of six with one of each design. quantity: circa 16 mint strips
