Australia 1966-73 Decimal Currency 15c. Galah with grey omitted, fine. Rare. Pierron AU786MCb, £2,500; BW 455ca; S.G. 393b, £2,250. Photo Estimate £ 1,500-1,800 Note: The missing grey results in the loss of the background twigs and branches, colour from the tail feathers, and shading from the tree trunk. The remaining streaks of grey (near the bird´s neck and leg) are created by the mix of red and green. Two sheets were partially affected with the error - the bottom row of a pane (sheet number 053285) and the third row of another (number 018754). Just two mint examples, both in vertical pairs with partials, survive from the second sheet. quantity: 12 mint, several used
