British East Africa Covers and Cancellations 1898 (4 July) soldier´s envelope from Mombasa to India, the sender´s name, etc. and address all written in native script, countersigned by "G.I. Hatch, Major" above "commanding, indian contingent" h.s. and bearing 1a. with fine Mombasa c.d.s., Sea Post Office and Jhelum arrival c.d.s. (27/7) on reverse; a few small faults though very scarce.
