Zanzibar 1895-96 Overprints on India Issue Overprints in Blue 1/2a. blue-green with variety small second "z", neatly cancelled with part December 1896 "bridge" type d.s.; fractional colour loss, otherwise an attractive and appealing example of his exceptionally rare stamp. B.P.A. Certificate (1967) which states "stained" which we consider harsh with only a trace of soiling on a few perfs. at top. Also 1a. used (tear at foot). S.G. 1, 2, £5,500.
