"Ching-Yu" 5% Gold Loan, 1915, Treasury bond for 50,000 francs, a specimen printed by Imprimeries Richard in Paris, ornate border, green, small cancel holes in number and signature areas, about extremely fine but top right corner has been repaired. This was a short term loan repayable on 1st May 1916 and floated by the Banque Industrielle de Chine. The loan was successful and duly repaid on time. Of this huge denomination only 90 were issued and 5 of these specimens were found in the papers of the long defunct Banque Industrielle. Estimate £ 800
