Liquid Air Power & Automobile Co. of Great Britain Ltd., £1 shares, 1904, no.274, signed by Hans Knudsen as director, ornate border, black, rust mark to the right of the signatures and very lightly dampstained otherwise about very fine; together with a very interesting 20-page prospectus of the Liquid Air, Power and Automobile Co. Ltd. of Boston, containing numerous illustrations of the automobiles, technical drawings and lots of detail about the company and its products, and a 4 page letter from the Foreign Syndicate Ltd., 1900, regarding the proposed setting up of this English company to operate the American patents under license. According to Georgano and Kimes/Clark both the American and US companies were stock promotion operations and no cars were ever built. Certainly the photographic illustration of the car outside the factory appears to have been doctored and there are no authenticated accounts of any car being seen in operation. Estimate £ 200
