Harringtons Patents Limited, £5 shares, 1895, signed by John Harrington as director, black, good very fine. John Harrington was a pioneer of the cycle trade and was the holder of many related patents. He operated the Arab cycle works at Ryde, Isle of Wight. According to records Harringtons Patents Ltd. was liquidated in 1900 but they are quite unclear. This certificate was printed in Whitehaven, Cumberland but we are unable to locate any works for Harrington in that area. Estimate £ 50
