Grand Junction Canal Co., 1 eighth share, 180(4), vignette of the company seal at top, black, has been trimmed lightly around edges some years ago but otherwise very fine. Formed in 1793 to build the canal from Braunston, Northamptonshire, to Brentford in Middlesex. Later connected to the Regents Canal in London. Purchased the Grand Union Canal in 1894 and eventually absorbed into the British Waterways Board. Estimate £ 250
