Canterbury Navigation & Sandwich Harbour, £25 share, 1826, issued to the Mayor and people of Sandwich, a lovely piece with attractive vignette of Canterbury cathedral, coats of arms and ship being drawn along the canal in background, black on thick paper, light water staining as is usual with these pieces, however, this has also sometime been framed and is toned overall, remains of mounting on the reverse on each edge. Formed to build a Canal from Canterbury to the proposed harbour and wet dock to be built at St. Nicholas Bay. Estimate £ 180
