(Aktieselskabet Burmeister og Wains Maskin-og Skibsbyggeri), 15-Year 6% Sinking Fund External Gold Bond, $1000, 1925, a specimen from the Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. archives, large format, vignette of large diesel engine, ornate border, mauve and black, small hole cancels over signature areas, good very fine. A large shipbuilder and contractor for diesel and gas engine power plants with it´s origins going back to 1843. The company obtained sole manufacturing rights for Denmark for the newly invented diesel engine in 1898. In recent years the company was split between it´s shipbuilding and engineering activities and the latter was acquired by MAN in 1980. Estimate £ 100
