Defence´, probably struck post 1850 and inscribed to commemorate Captain Peyton, traces of having been contained in a circular, glazed mount, apart from edge defects nearly extremely fine, housed in a mid-19th Century fitted leather case Estimate £ 250-300 Captain John Peyton was awarded a small gold medal as Captain of H.M.S. Defence at the Battle of the Nile.
