The White Star for 5 years´´ abstinence, and the Kitchener Star for 8 years´´ abstinence, are named after Field Marshals Sir George Stuart White, V.C., G.C.B., O.M., G.C.S.I., G.C.M.G., G.C.I.E., G.C.V.O. (1835-1912), and Earl Kitchener of Khartoum, K.G., K.P., G.C.B., O.M., G.C.S.I., G.C.M.G., G.C.I.E. (1850-1916), Commanders in Chief, India, 1893-98 and 1902-09 respectively.
